Scheduled maintenance is an important part of maintaining warranties for your building façade, most often this should only need to include a building wash to the glass and any aluminium to protect its finish and prevent staining from environmental pollutants at intervals stated in your building maintenance manual. Generally for a low to medium exposed site this should be bi-annually, however on an exposed site, this could be as often as quarterly.
For building façades that are older – a scheduled check of your façade may include testing the durability of your glazing gaskets, wet seals, re-tensioning of canopy or structural glass support systems and / or emergency repairs and glass replacement.
